In 1928, Aviator Amelia Earhart becomes the first woman to fly in an aircraft across the Atlantic Ocean.
Miss Earhart was an honored guest along with Evangeline Booth at an annual Salvation Army luncheon held at The Salvation Army Camp at Ashford Hill. Isn’t that neat?!
