In the year 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower declared National Salvation Army Week. May 10 through May 14 kicks off our 67th annual National Salvation Army Week. Each year, this week serves as an opportunity to celebrate our volunteers, donors and program beneficiaries who have enabled us to serve in the United States for more than 130 years.
