Captain Ken Chapmen of Jackson, MS, Sets New Guinness World Record for Bellringing

Captain Ken Chapman, Area Coordinate, Jackson, Mississippi ALM Division was able this week to break the Guinness Book of World Record for continuous bell-ringing (28 hours, 50 minutes).

The new record is now 30 hours, 5 minutes, 50 seconds.

The Captain reports significant media coverage. While this appeared to be a publicity stunt, the underlying intent was to encourage people to sign up for a 100% volunteer kettle drive this year!

Now that is some goal, and we applaud the Captain for this great effort. We will report on the volunteer sign up for ringing bells at a later date.

Congratulations Captain Chapman, now go get some rest!
