Premiere Cinema Supports The Salvation Army

Premiere Cinema 18 presents check of $3,157.64 to The Salvation Army of El Paso

El Paso, Texas—On Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 1:30 PM Premiere Cinema 18 at Bassett Place Mall will present a check for $3,157.64 to The Salvation Army in El Paso, Texas. The staff and management at Premiere Cinema are strong supporters of The Salvation Army and its programs within the El Paso community which includes the homeless family shelter located at 4300 East Paisano.

The homeless family shelter serves an average of 90 individuals daily of which two in three are children. The shelter provides a safe comfortable location for families, along with all the basic necessities, as The Salvation Army works with the family to meet our primary objective of sustainable housing upon exit from the shelter. Program services provided which support this objective include, but are not limited to: an after-school program which focuses on homeless children, parenting and life skills, and financial literacy.

Over the past two months we have been successful in placing close to 70% of the families we serve in housing. In doing so, we work with each individual family to overcome obstacles, be the obstacles real or perceived.
