Chattanooga, TN — The Salvation Army is continuing to “Do the Most Good” by providing for the immediate needs of those affected by the storms. This need may come in the form of non-perishable food boxes, toiletries, baby needs, limited support for lost medication, gasoline, and other necessities on a case by case basis depending upon the need.
These services are being provided today at the following locations:
Catoosa County, GA — The Salvation Army is serving at the Joint Disaster Recovery Center is located at 36 Muscogee Trail, Ringgold, GA, 30736.
Hamilton County, TN — The Salvation Army is serving at The Salvation Army Social Services Center located at 2140 East 28th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37407 and serving the Apison/Collegedale Communities at the DRC located on Southern Adventist University’s Campus.
Bradley County, TN — Immediate needs can be met at the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy, 3301 Peerless Rd., Cleveland, TN 37312 The Salvation Army is working towards being set up at the DRC located at the Old Cleveland Bank and Trust Building, 10 Church Street NE, Cleveland TN.
Memphis, TN – The Salvation Army has concluded its feeding at the Raleigh Springs mall. Two mobile kitchen units have been moved to both Disaster Recovery Centers for the area. One in Memphis and one in Tunica, MS.
Tunica, MS — The Salvation Army is serving Northeastern Mississippi at the Disaster Recovery Center located in the Dundee Community. This DRC is a multiple county service center. A canteen will be providing food, beverages, and emotional and spiritual care. A social worker will assist with food boxes, clean up kits and other care items inside the DRC.
Owensboro, KY — The Salvation Army of Owensboro, KY provided 100 meals to individuals in area shelters over the weekend who are displaced due to flooding. Already today, they have handed out 10 clean up kits and are prepared to hand out an additional 90.
