Two Festive Parades to Officially Kick Off The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program

The Salvation Army will officially kick off its annual Angel Tree program in Dallas and Fort Worth with festive parades at NorthPark Center and Ridgmar Mall. A Salvation Army brass band will lead the indoor parade of children and families through both malls, followed by an array of costumed characters including The Salvation Army’s Captain Kettle. Participants will sing Christmas carols and carry balloons or signs depicting The Salvation Army logo.

Through the Angel Tree program, The Salvation Army is hoping that more 250,000 gifts will be
donated for an estimated 57,000 children, senior citizens, and disabled adults that are on its
Christmas list this year.
