On This Day In History, August 7
In 1955 on the east coast, Hurricane Diane hits and The Salvation Army is there to serve with Disaster Relief Services. Hurricane Diane was the costliest Atlantic hurricane at the time and was one of three hurricanes to hit during the 1955 Atlantic hurricane season. The flood waters damage was immense and it destroyed homes and buildings. The Salvation Army was there with Disaster Relief, providing food, clothing, and shelter. Doing The Most Good, in disasters!
