On This Day In History: March 20

In 1928, Fred Rogers, Presbyterian clergyman and host of public TV’s longest running children’s program: “Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood,” was born. In 2002, Mr. Rogers took part in the dedication of the first Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center, in San Diego. The Salvation Army’s Don Bell made Mr. Rogers feel right at home by helping him slip into a custom navy zippered Salvation Army sweater. Click here to see more on Kroc Centers and dedication video.
